Well...our butterfly exhibit closed this weekend so Iwent back for one last shoot. This time I took my 28-135 with 580EX rather than the 100-400L. This looks like the best combination...pictures are more dynamic I think.
Observations?

Lumix GX8 w/12-35 2.8 and 35-100 2.8

Wondering why the leaves look so much like there is a glare on them.

Great picture of the butterfly. Good exposure, well blurred background, good lighting on the subject and well focused. Excellent picture!

If the leaves are actually exhibiting a glare (which is what I think it is), then I think a Polarizing filter would have killed that.
