We set this feeder up to capture squirrles when we are enjoying our porch. It sits approximately 12 feet from our chairs. While savoring my mug of coffee this morning I decided to try out our new Tamaron 28-75 2.8 that came yesterday. Obligatory duck shot will be taken later this weekend.;)

This Blue Jay came in for some breakfast. Manual focus; 100% crop; some exposure adjustment and sharpening PP. Exif: 3.5f; 1/800; 200ISO; 65mm

So while squirrels and chipmunks are stealing peanuts and birdseed from the feeders at my place, the opposite is happenning at your house:lol: . Nice grab shot considering the lighting circumstances.

Ooh, a new toy! Funny shot, it captures the personality very well.

I have fun photographing Bluejays too. Looks like you're all set up there with them only 12 feet away. Wish I could do that in the woods....you know, sip on a nice coffee while waiting for them to do something

Have you thought about getting a teleconverter for your lens? Something like a Tamron (about $100 USD and quite good quality) would give you more reach for bird photography.

We got a 2x when we bought the 70-200 Sigma which is the lens I would normally use out here. But I had to play with the new toy today.:D

It got put through the paces from Macro tubes to shooting our nieces' birthday party this evening. We wanted a better walk about lens that would also serve us well for our theatre shoots, something a little more versitle than the 50mm prime I have been using. Hopefully, I won't have to go clear to the nose bleed section when I need to get a full stage shot now.

Thanks Gary. Actually I screwed up, the lighting wasn't so bad. Here is the story, I forgot my WB was set to tungsten, which I use in the Theatre. Didn't notice it until I posted the picture and saw how blue it looked. So I went back and fixed the WB, but; didn't change the exposure compensation I did in PP. This is what happens when there are a million and one things to get done in a single day, but you really want to post a picture.
