ive been readin up on this forumn for a while and sucking in alot of information, which has made me able to take some better pics

and after a day of taking pics, tonight i pick up my camera to take a pic of my tutrle who is sleeping

and i notice the lcd cover is loose
after examining it more, i notice that the 2 screws holding the 2 halfs and the lcd screen together, are missing

does anyone know where i can get these screws
im kinda depressed now cause i love my camera
and now i gotta be extra careful with it so it doesnt fall apart on me

its a canon G6
not even a year old

Thank you

Hmmm.. You may want to check a electronics shop, they usually have tons of small screws from stuff they worked on, or you could go to radio shack, and the last would be call canon usa and see if they will get them for you,

On the G5,the LCD screen has two screws at the end opposite the hinge and another two screws associated with the two halves of the hinge itself. The part numbers are different for the two screws, so you have to know which you need. I would assume that these numbers would also be correct for the G6, but no guarantees on that.

At the hinge, CD1-4983-000
At other end, CD1-5028-000

I had the same problem in my G6 a year ago, took it to dealer who used a bit of magic tape, whilst ordering screws. I still haven't collected the screws.

I just wish they would make a G7, you get a lot of bang for your buck in this little pocket rocket!
