This old man has succesfully reared another set of offspring this year but I fear the old man won't be around for many more - bless.

YOU need to get just a little higher to get the feet in or lower the fence ;)
he does look a little werse for were .
whats the backdrop it looks like a rock face ?

Thanks Rob but as you can see the top of the gate arrowed is about eight foot tall and I sit in the green chair normally, the food table is just behind the wild rose bush infront of the gate. Had to put the table here to try and protect the feeding birds from a sparrow hawks swoops, seems to work, it hasn't been around for a while.

Excellent shots. Sharp with good exposure. Amazing details in the featers of the blackbird. Well done. :-)

how intresting one would never have thought it was just a small pice of fenc /gate they were sat on the anle you have works well to make it look like a rock face but i would find away to get them to show there feet , the starling shot is a good close one .

Nice pictures. Notwithstanding lack of feet, you've got superb detail in these shots.

Isn't it a pain the way the birds nearly always sit facing away from us?
