The WTCC isn't on my list unfortuately, my next events are Spa LMS, British Grandprix and Le Mans 24 hours. I hope to make it to Brands for the DTM though.

I have no idea what I'm gonna do at La Sarthe this year, hopefully the 120-300 will be sufficient with a 1.4x TC...plus some frantic cropping! haha

meh just jump the fences to get nearer... if you see some white overalled guys jumping up and down frantically waving at you, don't worry it's just a friendly greeting. :P

(obviously i'm just joking)

You've obviously read the signs then, the ones that say "you can be imprisoned or fined €1000000 if you trespass".

LOL

Yeah I wasn't best pleased with my lot last year, so I'm hoping not to be too drunk and pull my finger out a bit this year. Maybe I'll hire a 100-400mm L, or maybe I'll sell off my Sigma to fund it, or maybe I'll be wreckless and go ahead and buy it.

if you buy a second hand one off ebay, you can pretty much sell it again for the same price when you get back

I'm keeping my eye on ebay.

Not any of them are second hand atm... must be a cracking lens then.
But digitalrev have some fairly cracking deals.

i bought mine from this guy
http://members.ebay.co.uk …wUserPage&userid=123fstop (external link)

ships from the US (normally) for price of UK shipping, and took 2 days to get to me. I think it was just under 900 quid (and i sold a used one on ebay last season for 850). I didnt have to pay any duty, but i wouldnt guarantee that everyone gets away with it.

I think you've got some great shots there Dave. I think my favourite would be the black Lambo, followed by the Porsche but only because I love the look of the new GT3 front end!
