Impressive shot. I like the way the flag plays a central role in this shot.
If there were any way to selectively lighten just the flag, that would add to image, in my opinion.

COOOl shot. I like it. The flag was nice addition as Bob said. Take it away and it would have been a bit boring.

I'm a big advocate of a polariser in shots like this. In this one, a polariser might have toned down the superbright reflections off the building's surface and it would darken the sky to make the building stand out even more. It's worth taking a few shots with and without one of these filters just in case you don't like the effect.

It could be a good idea to clone out the little bit of building showing in the top right and left hand corner too...just personal taste I guess.

Nice shot overall. Did you get a shot of the impressive foyer?

thanks guys

actually this shot was taken with my powershot s500 :] no polariser option

but agree about lightening the flag, and cropping the top corners
i'll do that now...... (the corners)

i was in nyc (visited b&H) and i visited Adorama.... I bought a lens cleaning pen there

but anyway, I didnt know they made such a thing.... cool!

Oh not a problem pup. I love trying to help people with things. I am rather new to photography, but I have many years of photoshop experiance. All I did was wrap the magnetic lasso tool around the flag then raised the lightness and saturation to a pleasing look. Glad you like it :)
