Indeed nice. My comments are for the dull sky that appears to be due to mid day shoot and may be some friendly photoshop assistant could take care of saturation and color. Then crop IMHO would look better if this magnificent bird had more space to look into, i.e. cropping the left side of frame. Cheers.

Yes samsen it was mid day and I understand what you mean about positioning to give more view on the right hand side.

Merlyn9, I use a rebel with a bigma and although I was around 30-40 meters away I could have got closer but then I was getting more of a looking up shot.

Maybe I should get some stilts so I can be at eye level with some of the high roosting birds.

Scnapper... I would watch how close I got to that Osrpey... He looks like a good sized one. I hear they like shiny BLACK Lenses........

Beautiful bird and you captured this image beautifully. Great exposure and detail...the frame is a little tight on top and bottom but I would love this shot as is in my collection. Very nice work!
