Oh well... I suppose I'd better give you my take on the day.

#1 A dull and soggy start with the Maseratis. It's a bit of a cheek posting them in here since it wasn't much of a race.

#2 so I'd better do another one...

#5 and since everyone is doing pans (still) here's my "desperately dull" shot of the day (can you tell I was getting bored by this point?)

That'd be about right, yes.

Just look at the lovely tin you had to photograph while I struggled to get decent angles at Donington. The third shot is a nice mag shot to go with a write up.

By the way Glenn, Donington now has a very pretty pit lane and garages and ..... errr.... well, that's it really.

Cheers Ken! The tin might be nice but the angles at Silverstone aren't much better than Donington, particularly from the wrong side of the fences! At least using the GP circuit gave me a chance to shoot something other than Luffield, Luffield and a few extra shots at Luffield. If I get a minute I'll sort out some shots from Brands on Saturday - that really was lovely tin.

I'm almost certain I'll end up at Donington at some point this year. If not before then the "See Red" meeting is on my calendar. I've always regarded it as the 2nd worst motorsport venue in the country (from a photographers point of view).

Like #6 a lot Glenn - the 'starbursts' off the headlamps are very effective. Good colours in the first 3 shots given the conditions. Prefer some of the other Maserati shots on your website though to the ones posted here. Certainly not saying these are no good, just prefer some of the other ones.

Cheers,

Simon.

Is it me or is there something a bit wrong about having the word "Modena" on the side of an Aston?

A real triumph over the conditions there Glenn particularly #3 but i'll break ranks and pick the last shot of the MC12 as my favourite:)

That 500mm of yours works well at Stowe and Club, I especially like #9.

Like the Aston front on shot the best and some pretty good shots in your gallery of the Aston also.

Cheers

He's turning in just nicely for the left hander, everything under control! :)

I think that's my favourite shot of this bunch too, Ian. Thanks for the comment.
