HyperDrive HD80 and NTFS

Hi Guys,

I'm just wondering if anyone's tried putting an NTFS drive in the Hyperdrive to use JUST as an external HD?

The reason I ask is that I'm swapping hard drives in my laptop and using the old one for the HD80 that's on order, but wanted to copy a bunch of stuff over before I reformat the drive in FAT32...

I would assume that I should be able to access the drive via USB no problem since it shouldn't care in terms of being an external device right?

Not that I've heard of. The hardware has a built-in format routine which I suspect is FAT32. I would not be surprised if it choked on an NTFS drive & wanted it formatted. Try it. Worst that happens is you power up & get Er #18 showing.
