How about to BeccaNH, then 98photo, then wu_wei0? That seems to be the most logical geographically speaking.

sounds good, just keep us informed. I'll be done teaching for summer by then and can plan a real nice trip for Nifty.

We can't forget Kristy. She said she was going to be busy through the end of July so I'm not sure where we can fit her in, but I don't want anyone to be left out.

hey - if she is busy through July, I could hand him off to her when he leaves here - or if more convenient, he could visit her before heading to IM-Poor-ia

That will work! I just didn't want to leave anyone out.

Great!
There are other POTN members in my general vicinity although I have met few of them. I was thinking with Nifty to serve as guest of honor there might be a way to organize a POTN party. Midwesterners have talked before about congregating, but I don't know that a group has gotten together yet.

OOPS! Sorry Kristy. Shame on me. I guess that plan won't work then huh?:( :) Hopefully she will pop in and let us know what her plans are.

Wow. I feel lucky that I was able to horn in and get Nifty before the line grew too long.

well, as long as my karma doesn't run over my dogma...

Who knows, since Nifty had such a good time in Sideways-land, I may take him to the Napa area for more adult beverages. ;)

Oh I wish I were a NIFTY... I could enjoy some adult beverages in napa for a little while and then take a ride to see the beautiful land there.... Ahhhhh.

Yes, everyone I would still like to have Nifty for a spell. I'm not going to fight anyone for my turn, perhaps later in August? Sounds like many are waiting.. I have a busy schedule for the next 2 -3 weeks and then I'm open for a week or 2, and then busy for 2 and then wide open from August 14th until ? I could take Nifty for some traveling after the15th. Are you interested in cactus and very dry weather? Actually August is our Monsoon season, so maybe I'd get lucky enough to capture one of our fabulous sunsets that come hand in hand with the monsoon.

Let me know... I will be patient, and would like to take Nifty for a boat ride while the weather is nice.... could get some interesting photos on our lake....

ps... Thank you for remembering me Becca! :)

I felt like a guardian for Nifty. The box it came in had 5 sets of labels on it and I had to strip it. I repackaged it so it was easier for the next person to take off the tape and put another label on it. Everyone has packed it so nice inside. I can't remember if it had a cap on the back, it must have, but I lost it somewhere and put another Canon one on it. So, Nifty is good as new, cleaned and ready to go. People kept looking at me though when I had it on my camera. I put Nifty on my 10D most of the time. It did very well. I put the 24-70L on my 20D and carried both around. People were wondering what the heck I was doing with this little lens and that giant lens. Some made comments. You'll see.
