It is a nice spot. I like to go there right after a nice rain fall like we had the other day. There's a little rock space out there that I can normally jump over the water to get to but the water was so high I didn't want to take that chance.

I can't find a deteriorating building around here to save my soul. They make such good photography subjects. I really like the shot and what you have done with it in post.

They are GREAT subjects and they're all different in so many ways. Really fun to photograph. And the processing is a personal preference. I like the way they look in Black & White. Very rustic.

So, Nifty arrived here in Ottawa yesterday. I have a busy few days ahead of me with family obligations but will try to squeeze as many shots in as I can. Here's an introductory shot just to give you a feel for where Nifty is situated now.

Cool to see a map of nifty's actual location, Julie. Especially helpful for those of us who are more familiar with European geography.

Another rainy day has left me home bound again. I did get a new focus screen for my 40D that I tested out with the Nifty but who wants to see a close up of my work lamp?

I figure hopefully get in some shots this weekend and then send Nifty on its way. Been great fun so far.

What do I need to do to get on this list? This is a fantastic concept!

You copy and paste the list from the last time it was posted. (Last page I think) When you paste it, add your name to the bottom of which area you live in.

It is required you be a member for a year and have at least 200 posts, but you have that covered.

Same here. Maybe I'll get mine on it's way by Monday. One more weekend with Nifty. Hopefully the weather will clear up by tomorrow.

Revised the list to include me in the USA Section.

At present we would like anyone wishing to host have at least a 200 post count or have been active on POTN for a year. Hopefully this will reduce the number of people that do not participate in a timely manner, or "forget" to move Nifty on to the next host, or simply don't care.
