I can't find a deteriorating building around here to save my soul. They make such good photography subjects. I really like the shot and what you have done with it in post.

Thoroughly enjoyed your post CameraMan, thanks!

I also enjoyed the last pictures.

I am the same as you Lyssi, there isn't an abandoned or deteriorating building anywhere that I know of in my region. Problem is that land is so expensive here around Munich that as soon as a building is empty it is either used again or demolished and replaced with something new.

So, Nifty arrived here in Ottawa yesterday. I have a busy few days ahead of me with family obligations but will try to squeeze as many shots in as I can. Here's an introductory shot just to give you a feel for where Nifty is situated now.

We are about an hour drive north of the New York State border, two hours west of Montreal, and about five hours northeast of Toronto.

I hope to have more to post tomorrow!

Excellent, Love your location introduction and looking forward to seeing some of your region.

It's a great portrait lens. Especially on a crop sensor camera.

I was hoping the Euro-Nifty would get here before my trip to Finland, but it looks like it's not going to make it :(

Hmm, last time I sent a package to the Baltics (Latvia in that case) it also took 2 weeks to arrive, but I would have hoped that you would have had it before now :(

I took Nifty out today. However, I am headed out to dinner so when I get back I will process a few and post them as soon as I can.

OK, so I ran a few errands today and I knew I'd be going past the Nuclear Power Station in Forsyth, GA. What I didn't know is how hard it would be to get close for some pictures.

This first one is the best shot I got and I think I was about 15 miles away from it.

You got me spending some interesting time researching Hydrilla on the internet with this post CameraMan. Can have rather nasty results when it takes hold.

Luckily it doesn't appear to have reached Canada yet, but I'll be watching for it come Summer! I went on to learn a bit about what we do have growing in our lakes in Ontario, which was quite interesting actually.

I'm still struck with how much your area looks like Fall !

Yeah, we don't get much snow here. Thank goodness we didn't get any when I had this lens. They usually shut everything down if there's even an inch of snowfall. We only get 2 or 3 weeks of REALLY cold weather (teens to low 30's Fahrenheit).

Well got out and hit a few more things this weekend and will get the pictures up soon.

Sending DigitalSoCal a message to get the shipping information.

It has been great fun. There were many other things I would have liked to hit, but it is time for the next person to enjoy I have held on long enough. It might make it this way again in the future you never know.

I just sent a message to SkyBaby as well. I just have a couple more places I'd like to go but if the weather doesn't get better this week I'll just send it on it's way to SkyBaby.

Looking forward to giving Nifty its first tour of Tehachapi. The Loop, glider airport, wind farm, and historic down town are all on the agenda as well as a few of my favorite shooting locations. I'm happy I'm getting over this nasty croup before Nifty gets here so I can actually get out with Nifty.

Nifty is shipped out on it's way to DigitalSoCal

Hopefully I will get a chance to go through the rest of the pictures I took and post them while in transit. It was great fun, Thanks.
