Love the stations Peter..
You make them very interesting
I always find series taken over time very interesting
We begin to understand the subject in many settings
Thank You
You are a fantastic host!

Thank you very much.
I enjoy the hosting as it forces me to get off my ar$e and get out there and use the lens. It is also good to use the fixed focus lens for a while, as you are forced to analyse your compositions differently or use the old Bipedal zoom rather than just zooming the lens for the optimum crop.
Of course it has its limitations. It wasn't the ideal lens for architectural photos in cramped areas like Underground stations, but meant I had to hone my Panorama skills.

Definitley its a worth while thing to do.

I am already starting to think about what I could do as a photo project for the next time I host the lens.

Let's not spoil the fun in advance, but Nifty is gonna have a view of some other places, also abroad.

Hey there all. I am all moved in and am actively looking for work now. But I did manage to grab the camera with Nifty and get some shots of Spring in action on my way home from an interview.

I've always loved how Dutch (if that ok to say) orchards are pruned. I've also seen them espaliered along fences and wires

Looks like spring is doing well in the Netherlands!

Fabulous series of station images, Peter! Love them all.

Pretty blossoms, Cameraman.

Love the abandoned church images.

Thought I would sneak an image in here.
Taken with a 50mm lens, but not the nifty!!

We have a new series of art that opened this weekend.
It's called The March Hare Festival and is based in Cirencester, Gloucestershire.
Based on a Roman mosaic excavated in Cirencester which contained a hare.

The festival runs through to September, then they will be auctioned for charity.
So far it seems a bit disorganised. The website is rubbish and the downloadable map is incomplete and not very good.
Many of the hares are not on display yet...not sure when they will all be ready.
I think there will be 40 of the 5ft hares eventually and 30 small ones.
So far I think there are 23 on display.

Here's one that we took today called Madame Butterfly, created by Debbie Stirling.

OK, Joayne! Will put myself back on...hopefully the hares will all be ready by the time it gets to me.

At present we would like anyone wishing to host have at least a 200 post count or have been active on POTN for a year. Hopefully this will reduce the number of people that do not participate in a timely manner, or "forget" to move Nifty on to the next host, or simply don't care.

Some proof that Nifty is back in the Netherlands :)

I figured a rowing boat would be a nice subject, as I shoot thousands of rowing pictures each year ;)
