I don't want to add to the disillusionment.. but I have tried to contact all current "Hosts" who are keeping Nifties Hostage!
No one will open my PM's at this point. This might be the worst ever incident of people getting a Nifty and keeping them..
I count 3.. Euro and 1 USA and the Canadian..

I am at a loss for words..

... And now Guitarfreak has posted a couple photos and disappeared which makes for 2 USA Nifties..
So much for the Honor System..

Joayne, I too have a feeling that it's never been as bad as now.

In the mean time though we should not allow these people to get away with keeping a lens that doesn't belong to them. There must be something we can do in the real world...

on the plus side, I've been stuck inside an office for the last 4 weeks and not able to get out & about to shoot anything. Tomorrow I get to visit a customer site so will have nifty onboard just in case something resembling interesting comes up...

Here is an idea. One I know which will not be favored. But when a host gets Nifty, they ought to be obliged to take a selfy and share it. So we can see who Nifty has been with. Then every so often, do a collage. Kinda like a Nifty Family Portrait

That is, if Nifty is ever released from capture

When someone gets nifty do they also provide their phone number?
If not then a letter to the shipping address should suffice. We need new contact measures...

Im down to donate for a new nifty or concur with urbanfreestyle's plea to put his nifty in rotation.

Although I have my own 50mm I want to host nifty and spread the joy!!!! (photographically)

FREE NIFTY!!!! JUSTICE!!!!

And they disclose a phone number to a forum mod

Hey guys you can take me off the list... I have recently bought the newer version of the nifty fifty and don't want to take the chance away from someone else to get to use this great little lens. Enjoy!

At present we would like anyone wishing to host have at least a 200 post count or have been active on POTN for a year. Hopefully this will reduce the number of people that do not participate in a timely manner, or "forget" to move Nifty on to the next host, or simply don't care.

* Though, this doesn't seem to alter the fact that people tend to forget to send Nifty on and tend to post very little... with some exceptions!

To sign up to be a host, please copy the list completely, add your name to the bottom of the sub-list that is your area of the world, paste the entire list into a new post with your name added..
