Something else I noticed, that the once quite peaceful park had a huge railway station building at one end of it (it wasn't there last time I had a camera at the park!) That is the back of the new AIT campus building which conveniently has a train station under it. Shame the tracks are a dead-end, a bit like Britomart. Can't say I've ever been to Hayman Park, let alone the train station and I have lived up the road for about 18 years..... is that whats down the back of there, never even thought to venture around there, i live pretty close as well.

I had to find the page where I started posting and I found myself back in the period when Tessa (Estonia) and Julie (Canada) were hosting. There were batches of new pics just about every day from either one and there was so much activity going on. Wild Birds of Europe: https://photography-on-the.net …showthread.php?p=19371752

Very cool series of images. I recognised some of the places from our visit in July, but much of it was off the beaten track for tourists. We did spend some time in the Rijksmuseum, but only a few hours as we had so much to see. Also went to the Flower Market and bought some bulbs. ![]() We did go on one of the big tourist boats around the city, but wasn't impressed at all. They had a recorded message in many languages which you had to listen to on a headset. The guy driving the boat was supposed to push a button at specific points so that you got the commentary at the right time. He kept being late which was annoying. The boat trips we had done in other places had the person driving the boat actually telling us about places which was much better. When we did the tour, there was someone with a microphone telling us all about the places we passed. I remember we asked questions and the man would answer them. It was great fun. But apparently things have changed. What a pity. Wild Birds of Europe: https://photography-on-the.net …showthread.php?p=19371752
