I notice the list still says that photorider sent the Canadian nifty to me, but that was in July. Has he contacted anyone to verify that he ever sent it? Because I never got it, and he never responded to my PMs. I just don't want people to think that I'm sitting on this lens. I would love to use it and post...

I am sorry to hear that he still has not sent it to you.....it is a real shame when folks that really want to host and shoot with the nifties have to wait so long for someone who can not be bothered to shoot or send it on. I hope that you get it soon....would love to see where you go to shoot.

I'm going to assume that there is no other way to contact photorider than pm's. . . .. ..

Whoever sent him the lens may still have his address. You can mail him a little reminder maybe.

I do still have his address and can send him a reminder over the weekend.

In looking back over this thread I see that he has nifty before and not shot much and then
been very slow to move it on to the next person.

More from Westonbirt Arboretum.

This is a sculpture created by an artist called John Newling. Visitors to the Arboretum were invited to write their wishes onto ribbons and wrap them around the branch of a tree. The sculpture is the result of over 4000 wishes. It was cut from the tree and cast in bronze.

This tree smells of burn sugar, like candy floss when the leaves are turning colour in the autumn.
In this image they are starting to turn from green to yellow.

The first tree is a full moon maple which is the earliest to turn colour. Often they have dropped their leaves before the Japanese Acers have changed colour.

Thanks very much, Clare.
I just finished fixing the broken links.
It starts on page 442: https://photography-on-the.net …ead.php?t=167850&page=442

I loved looking through these images of Amsterdam. I was there in 2014 for almost 2 weeks, it's such a beautiful city. I didn't realise at the time that the Rijksmuseum had only re-opened the year before. I spent several days in there and still didn't see it all!

If only all nifty hosts made as much effort as you and Clare, this thread would be what it should be. So sad that people hang onto nifties for months on end with no shots posted, or very few.

Thank you very much Joeseph. It's hard to find a web that has the light in the right direction!
