it helps.

Still no word from photorider....he opened the pm that I sent on Nov 23.

Evening all.

Nifty has been on holiday in the South Island, taken a few photo's but unfortunately, fell ill and has succumb to the ailment.

RIP Nifty. Passed away in Picton, New Zealand 27 November 2015.

I will be talking to a friendly photographic supplier tomorrow about adopting a new family member and will let you know how we go.

I have some earlier images to post but will let the loss set in prior to processing them.

RIP DUPAN NIFTY
QUOTED IMAGE

Aaahhh, that looks so sad.
RIP Dupan Nifty.

But as life goes on: I'm looking forward to the images! :-)

Nullmind pm'd me 5 weeks ago that he would send Euro Nifty to me "this week". I'm still waiting. I sent him a pm a week ago but it hasn't been read yet.

I have one in my arsenal. I just enjoy being part of this group and contributing. Someone must be pretty desperate if they can't afford a $100 lens.

Shampoo sounds like an unfortunate name for a hair product.
You're a ghost driving a meat-coated skeleton made from stardust, riding a rock, hurtling through space. Fear Nothing!

Dude now lists nifty in "his" gear list! I found the guy and gave him 3 weeks notice that I would contact his place of work. Sent an email to his work, no response. Then one week ago I called and talked to his boss who said they were having a meeting in 10 minutes and would talk to him about it. Barring Nifty's return into circulation, I will call his boss again at the end of the week.

He has never opened any of my pm's... lol
I guess I know why now..

I can't believe you stalked him to his boss!!

Visited the Canon adoption center and spoke to Mr & Mrs Canon.

They have been very busy "procreating" and have their new range of children.

They have just released their latest off-spring and I was lucky enough to pick up one of the latest batch. Like all siblings, they are of the same parents but different.

Without further a due, I introduce the latest Nifty; Perhaps he should have a new name, Progear Nifty https://www.progear.co.nz/ (external link)

This is one of the last images from the late Dupan Nifty. Was a beautiful day and the water was warm and clear. This image doesn't do it justice, the green tint is picked up from the forest that feeds the stream.

very nice - hope you mentioned the useage & potential exposure options...

p.s. let me know if you need contributions towards same
pps. you could now do a video on lens cleaning (on the sadly departed of course) - you do have a water-blaster I assume?

All sorted, his Mum & Dad provided a suitable arrangement for us to adopt him. Changing the name was my idea, up to the powers that be to OK it though.

I had thought about a ceremonial burial perhaps, draped in either a Canon/POTN flag or one of the NZ flags floating around....

she only cost $22.59 plus $5 shipping, I wouldn't get too serious with purchasing a flag to go with....

He works in construction. Wait until his boss hears me tell him that, if nifty has not moved on within two weeks, I will pull all the building permits of his construction company in Calgary and mail the addresses where he is doing work and explain to them Trever's affinity for goods that are not his, suggesting that they hide their valuables. Just to be safe.

That should be enough to get nifty moving. If not, I will do exactly as described. I can't believe this punk added Nifty to the list of his gear in his signature line!

oh my....

Agreed but it's late & I've got to go back to work tomorrow. However, there are only 12 more days of work this year for me.... yeah!!!

Any way, quick shot from Havelock Harbour. One of Tally's mussel barges unloading. Lots of mussel farms in the Marlborough Sounds.

Great news Mark!!
You certainly may name this new addition...
Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Canon! ... and to you Mark

This is sort of the opposite of the Adorama Nifty (a Gift from Helen @ Adorama and all the fine Adorama folks!) and photorider and his shenanigans.
Thank you Mark and joseph for keeping the photos coming from Down Under! Your generosity and kindness is so very appreciated!!!

THANK YOU MARK and joeseph

Some people are so completely irresponsible!!! So nifty has been dusted of and will be taken to the post office tomorrow to find a more appropriate host. There ultimately is no good excuse for his neglect. So I will simply apologize for his absence and send him along. I am sorry for this and will follow the thread but no longer host as I am apparently very bad at it.
