Not from nifty but I figured I'd post this. Phase 1 is nearly completed.

The fire shot is great!

So was the heat. Not great as in nice but very hot. I had to back away from it quite a bit for about 30 minutes or so.

I can believe that! It looks hot. Pretty cool...

At present we would like anyone wishing to host have at least a 200 post count or have been active on POTN for a year. Hopefully this will reduce the number of people that do not participate in a timely manner, or "forget" to move Nifty on to the next host, or simply don't care.

* Though, this doesn't seem to alter the fact that people tend to forget to send Nifty on and tend to post very little... with some exceptions! To sign up to be a host, please copy the list completely, add your name to the bottom of the sub-list that is your area of the world, paste the entire list into a new post with your name added.

Here are a few images from today. I'd like to get some bokeh testing done, as I now have all three, 1.4, 1.8II and 1.8 STM in my possession, we will see how the rest of the weekend goes.

How many images should/can/ am I suppose to post?

Here is the unboxing, and the surprise of finding a bum replacement.. I think it is a sigma bottom... (put on my stm I traded out - first pic is stm, rest are by nifty.

Jersey Mikes's sandwich.. well half that was left after son dug into it... no sharpening here. other images will have a touch from LR.

You can post as many as you want. I had the Euro Nifty a couple of times and posted over 1,000 images.
Are you going to do some horse images for us?

At the park, there is a shake shop, that was a pharmacy, in another place and time.. they salvaged all the wood shelves, stored them for 17 years, and then built a nice little two story to restore to former glory.

This is in a part of Topeka called 'Potwin'.

The boys enjoyed their cherry shakes, and I enjoyed the leftovers!

I don't put the 50mm size and shoot at f2.0 very often on the 5D2... but I can now see I should more often
