Hi Cherie!!

You can post as many as you want. I had the Euro Nifty a couple of times and posted over 1,000 images.
Are you going to do some horse images for us?

Hey Bambers!!! I can try for some horsey ones... I'll wait for a bit of sun, hope to get some this weekend yet.

Horses with a 50mm are a challenge, it really is and acts like a wide angle for them....pretty challenging to get something with a 50 that is as nice as a telephoto.. maybe some detail shots....

It is interesting to compare the stm to the 1.8II behavior.. I do NOT miss the zittt bzziiittt. :)

I'm enjoying the images you've posted so far.
Don't forget to shoot to stitch images when you can't get far enough away from something.
The nifty has very little distortion and stitches well in LR and in PS.

Wow. Great start, ksbal (Cherie?). Love all the images.
And echoing Clare: post as many as you like. In fact more is better than less! We've been kind of starving for images in this thread. Can you tell? :p

As long as you are posting.. and so far, very good, I love to be shown around .. keep Nifty for awhile.
It's the lack of images that rile us up, especially when someone keeps it with no communication.
Keep us posted, shoot, post and we will sit back and enjoy!

Ok, so Nifty Isn't gone yet, I had some fun playing yesterday with him. Didn't know how liberating it can be to have such a small size to carry around...

And per request, some horse shots...

Hi Folks

Things have got a little more normal around here now and I got a chance to edit some Nifty images.

The first is my daughters police dog. Nice puppy but wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of him....

The balance from this set are Christmas lights from a particular residential street in central Auckland.

New Zealanders' traditionally have not been great exhibitors of festive lighting but with more & more migration into New Zealand, it is becoming more & more popular. South Africans and Indians seem to be keen on it. A marked increase has been noticed over the last 5 - 6 years.

The street featured were probably the first here to do it on such a large scale and they go on for a couple of weeks.

Creates quite a traffic jam with thousands of people viewing the display.

My photo's don't really do it justice and I have to admit, that this year it wasn't as good as previous years.

However, it is what it is. They even have a facebook page; https://www.facebook.com/FranklinRoadChristmasLights/ (external link)
