Where's Nifty?! #2

I have the Dupan nifty sitting in front of me. Chap on the list below me hasn't been online since March. Unable to find a Reservoir Dog in the Dupan area, all Reservoir Dog's are inactive.

Anyone around my area want a turn? I am happy to keep him but the whole point of the thread is for him to travel!!!!!

Wow, Reservoir Dog disappeared about a month ago, I see.
He had been pretty active up to that point..
Just hang on a bit, and take some more shots!

Maybe he got fed up with the people who were so rude on the car thread he posted to.
That seems to be his last posting.

It was a nice day today and as the day progressed we saw more sun and mid afternoon it was really nice. So I went to the Eastern Docklands or Oostelijk Havengebied as we call the area in Dutch. The area used to an open port from way back and instrumental for Amsterdam's traders. In the 19th century the area was modernised and islands were build in the open port all with their own docking quays. Ships had become bigger and the old port needed to be modernised to accommodate them.

It was so nice. People were out, enjoying the sun. Like these tourists, having a snack.

Then I came across a beautiful Wisteria, attached to a house. We call this plant Blauwe Regen (Blue Rain).

A bit ahead was some event going on. No idea what it's about...

But this was the reason I went to the Java-eiland: beautiful little foot bridges. And they speak a language. Oh yes.
This is just a teaser. We'll be taking a closer look soon, but I have to process the shots first.

Well now, AMASS is doing it again: messing up uploaded images. I have already reported but Pekka hasn't responded yet. I can't clean it up myself as the images don't show in the editor any more.

EDIT: Well what do you know. I tried re-uploading the images and that worked!

At present we would like anyone wishing to host have at least a 200 post count or have been active on POTN for a year. Hopefully this will reduce the number of people that do not participate in a timely manner, or "forget" to move Nifty on to the next host, or simply don't care.

* Though, this doesn't seem to alter the fact that people tend to forget to send Nifty on and tend to post very little... with some exceptions! To sign up to be a host, please copy the list completely, add your name to the bottom of the sub-list that is in your area of the world, paste the entire list into a new post with your name added.

Having grown up in the Netherlands (Tilburg and Groningen) can I request two pictures? Patatje mayo and "eten uit de muur"? Those were two things both my wife and later son were astounded about when they first visited the Netherlands

Haha, yeah, you noticed my name there, eh?
That Wisteria was amazing. My pics don't do it justice, really, although I am rather pleased with the pano. It was also especially wonderful against that fiery red of the woodwork. I didn't boost that red at all in post, it wasn't needed, it really was that intense red.

Thanks very much, DutchinCLE! I made a note to myself: patatje mayo and "eten uit de muur"! Look out for them here! And for those of you who are greatly puzzled by this, don't worry, the pics will explain everything!

Oh, that's the second request. The other one is the Albert Cuijp market. Coming right up. Well, not now, but soon!

I hope the weather stays nice. That means shooting birds in the countryside. Will be nice to show Nifty there's life outside Amsterdam too!
