Oh yes, it's done all over the place. I believe even the smallest villages have their avond4daagse.
Of course Nijmegen is a whole different ballgame. That's serious walking for adults, with blisters and heatstrokes, pain and suffering.

At present we would like anyone wishing to host have at least a 200 post count or have been active on POTN for a year. Hopefully this will reduce the number of people that do not participate in a timely manner, or "forget" to move Nifty on to the next host, or simply don't care.

* Though, this doesn't seem to alter the fact that people tend to forget to send Nifty on and tend to post very little... with some exceptions! The hospital that we were visiting on the Island is in the
city of Duncan, BC. They call it the city of totems. I shot
some of them while I was out.
