Thank you to all of you for your kindness and thoughtfulness.
US Nifty here. It's been a very rough ride for all of us but life has to go on for me and my kids.
My family and I went out to a beautiful Japanese restaurant in Dallas called Tei-An. The food was incredibly delicious.
I managed to take Nifty with me; yet the shots are not the greatest because Nifty hunted for focus forever. I didn't have a tripod or a flash.
A large metal sculpture of a horse in front of the Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts the on the way to the restaurant.

Lovely rock garden inside the restaurant.

Quick trip to the little room where I found this surprise: you don't need toilet paper at all but it's there just in case.
Gorgeous vanities filled with ice cubes.

The restaurant has a lovely terrace where we sat by the fire place and enjoyed the views.

Thank you, Levina.
It feels good and it is healing to shoot and post. I can't turn the clock back.

US Nifty here again.
With a few family members from overseas, I had to take them around just to get our minds of the recent events.
But before my husband passed away I had a job to do: a live wedding painting for which the contract had been signed months ago. The wedding reception was at a beautiful venue in Fort Worth, The Modern Art Museum (external link)
I managed to take a few shots of the venue for my painting and also for the Nifty thread.
I am not really in a mood to provide a lengthy description of the venue; my apologies. I will just post a few images of the main reception room.
The first shot was taken from the inside looking at the main entrance.
the second shot was taken 180 degrees from the first one. The crew was setting up the venue for a wedding reception.
