Where's Nifty?! #2

I can't process any more pictures for a few days as my new computer arrived today and it is migrating data across from my old computer.

It's most practical not to count on me I guess. Right now I can't tell whether I'll be busy traveling until the end of the year or if I would get back home in mid september and start looking for a job and house..

I pm'd the next person on the list. They haven't been active since December so we will see how it goes. In the meantime, I will try to take Nifty out around West Michigan. It's been crap weather lately, but we should have some clear weather soon!

A few more shots from the US Nifty in Rome.
Again, don't recommend using this lens in Rome unless you are into the close up photos or cropped photos of the MASSIVE sites.
I didn't take many shots with Nifty bc I didn't want to keep switching lenses while walking around in such a busy city. Vacation first, photos second.
You will also prly notice that some of the shots are not level. That's bc I dont spend more than 1-2 seconds taking a photo. Just a quick "lift the camera up and shoot" or even hip shots are common for me and often while on the move!
In case you have never been to Rome, it is very hilly with no level roads and even roads slanted sideways! Some of these photos just aren't level (bc i'm too lazy to correct them) and some just appear that way bc that is just Rome.

I feel this set gives you a good idea of the ancient Roman side roads.

At present we would like anyone wishing to host have at least a 200 post count or have been active on POTN for a year. Hopefully, this will reduce the number of people that do not participate in a timely manner, or "forget" to move Nifty on to the next host, or simply don't care.

* Though, this doesn't seem to alter the fact that people tend to forget to send Nifty on and tend to post very little... with some exceptions! To sign up to be a host, please copy the list completely, add your name to the bottom of the sub-list that is in your area of the world, paste the entire list into a new post with your name added.

the list seems to be getting smaller and with less participation. maybe we should post something in one of the 50mm threads or another thread and invite ppl to join? if that's even acceptable

My computer is still migrating the data from the old internal discs to the new computer.
Who would have thought it would take so long to copy 5 Tb of data.
The stuff on the external discs should be a bit easier hopefully.
