There's a Dutch tv program called Hidden Past. It features a well-known Dutch person (actor, singer, politician, whatever) and his/her family tree is researched. It's a fascinating little program. The other day somebody found out they were actually related to Charlemagne. Last year somebody turned out to be related to the British royal family. How amazing is that?

US Nifty went to Austin last Saturday where I had a gig doing a live wedding painting. We didn't get a chance to shoot a lot outside of the wedding for which I used my "brick" to capture the venue and the couple doing their first dance. Nifty was able to take some panoramas though.
First, we had to get to the hotel my client provided for me...a nice surprise here! I was in a suite and not just a room. A 3 shot pano with a lousy performance by Photoshop.

I missed one more sculpture in the bathroom of my hotel.

I snapped a shot of the main room towards the end of the reception.
My painting at the end of the reception...a hot mess right now; it's oil, so it will take a few days to dry before I can continue and refine it.

I went outside to a rooftop below me to snap a better shot.

Then I went back to the wedding venue which was just around the corner to take this panorama of the museum; 11 shots.
The capitol consists of 12 vertical shots.

I left Austin on Sunday morning and I was pretty tired, so the only thing on my mind was to get home as soon as possible. 3.5 hours of driving was not fun, especially where 1/3 of the trip was laced with heavy road work and very narrow lanes!
I stopped in downtown Waxahachie to see some old buildings. I shot this panorama of 27 images: 3 rows of 9. I missed one corner...shame on me....but this happens when one shoots free hand
The second panorama of 3 shots shows 2 bridges in Dallas. One of them is called Margaret Hill Hunt Bridge
The other one is called Margaret McDermott Bridge

Right where I took the double bridge shot, I saw this lovely skyline and took 11 shots to stitch this panorama.
This is it for the moment.
I wil be doing some more shooting but as we are approaching a major public holiday in the US, it will take me a few days to deliver something since I have to concentrate on cooking for a large crowd

US Nifty was taken to my kitchen against her will
It's been a very frantic experience...poor Nifty.
Well, I say...poor mama
I've been cooking like crazy for the last 2 days but only managed to shoot 2 things: homemade candied orange peel dipped in bittersweet chocolate and a lovely cold cheese cake that was pressed in a cheese cloth between 2 boards and clamped to squeeze out as much liquid as possible...divine!

US Nifty with some shots from Thanksgiving and the day after...Nifty was as fit as a bull but I was tired
Tomorrow we will be heading for another destination, quite a promising one!
So, one shot is from the dinner table at my friend's place where I ate some fantastic stuff and enjoyed great company. PS did a lousy job stitching, maybe because I left my camera on some stupid settings without checking them...sorry.
Then today we went to a city called Allen to find some public art. There were 26 items on my list but I only managed to find a few but I will return and shoot the rest.

The panorama consists of 5 images and depicts the city hall with a sculpture that has a twin due to another lousy merging job in PS!
