Where's Nifty?! #2

Bishop Arts District is loaded with murals

The blue mural I mentioned in my previous post and a wonderful junk sculpture in front of Vagabond, a store next to the pie shop.

A 9 image panorama of 3 rows and 3 columns. Just a few yards down the street to the right is that infamous movie theater where Oswald was captured.
The second photo shows the continuation of Jefferson Street.

A nice sculpture in front of the theater and some painted parking meter. I could have shot around 100 of them...but didn't have enough time.

Looks like a really nice part of Dallas, Renata. Seems relaxed and almost countrytown-like. Another great series!

Yes, now it's quite nice but just a few years ago it wasn't.
This particular part has that country town like look but surprisingly it has some really classy and highly rated restaurants such as Lucia
Trouble is that the Bishop Arts District is still surrounded by some bad neighborhoods...just a matter of time as he gentrification process has been going on for a while, though. I think.

I had to drop off the black dress wedding painting and the client has a unique business in that district. He converts vintage leather jackets into pieces of art and sells them to either rock groups or the public. He also works with vintage T-shirts that have images of well-known musicians or groups.
