Retired Nifty visited the Golden Spike Historical NP in Promontory, Utah, to see the place where the Transcontinental Railroad was completed 150 years ago.

Those are great shots, Tim.

And so nice to see a Nifty active, even if it's retired!

Thank you, Levina. Here's a shot of the other locomotive.

Retired Nifty decided to fall apart and quit functioning again as I was shooting this panorama at St. Mary's Lake in Glacier National Park. Unfortunately, that means you don't get to see the top of the mountain in this shot.

Nice spot Tim!

It was a nice spot, in spite of the overcast. It was the first visit to Glacier NP for my wife and I was disappointed for her because The Road to the Sun was "The Road to Fog and Rain" when we drove over the pass.

Retired Nifty went into surgery this morning. He had a loose screw. :p

Thanks to a friend in the jewelry repair business, we repaired it with a slightly larger screw that seated nice and tight and won't fall out.

I checked Retired Nifty out in our garden a few minutes ago and it looks like we're back in business! :-D

A loose screw? That's like my brain, Tim. Glad you got it fixed and Nifty is back in business!

Good stuff Tim, at least Nifty wasn't unhinged!

Has Nifty ever been to the Lexington Concord battlefield? or Newport RI? I would be happy to be his tour guide
