There's a F-Adapter for sale on EBay. Says it allows a telescope to be connected to a G6.
Sounds fun..............

Aren't the small cameras excellent for use with a fieldscope?

I think the CrystalVue 8x32 _is_ a field scope
(what's the difference between a 'monocular' and a 'field scope ??? )

I don't see any G series cameras listed under the compatibility section. ???

If you look HERE (external link), you will see that the version suggested for use with the G series is the more expensive 'LX' version. That one has a 42 mm thread, the 'sharp shooter' has a 37 mm thread that might lead to vignetting on the G series. (Haven't tried either)

Best regards,
Andy

There's an auction for the 'sharpshooter' version that's currently at $ 44 and ending in 7 hours (ending May-12-06 11:00:19 PDT) ... http://cgi.ebay.com …ZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem (external link)

If the price stays low, it might be quite interesting to check it out and see if you get vignetting.

Best regards,
Andy

Lens Plus sales rubber mounting rings just for this purpose. You can find them sold on the B&H photovideo web site. You could pick up a spotting scope and using that for your bird shots however for what your going to pay for a good spotting scope you could just go out and buy a Canon DSLR and a 400mm f/5.6.

Ps. You'll still have the problem of having to zoom your G6 to full optical zoom when using the spotting scope.

just food for thought.
