My first warbler of 2006...

...and hopefully many more to go! Was out with Wayne and Stephen Sunday morning at a very "alive" Petrie Island. This is probably the same Yellow-Rumped individual that Wayne posted earlier, but had to share it anyhow (warblers have that effect on birders ). This species is the most abundant of warblers and one of the earliest to arrive here...signalling the start of a sure-to-be exciting birding season!

Very beautifully presented Dan, Great colors and detail on the bird, nice clean perch and the sky is perfect. Nice to see the Warblers are returning I take it Petrie is drying out some.

Super shot ... we just had some Yellow-Rumped passing through, along with Palm and Black-Throated Blue ... what a great time of year.
