This past weekend, while fishing in Islamorada Florida, we trolled past a floating tree log approx 30 miles offshore. After picking up some school dolphins and a wahoo, we hooked up to this beauty

Brings back memories.:D I went fishing in the gulf off the coast of North Carolina about 2 years ago. We started out slow but managed to catch 20 dolphin and 1 wahoo. The wahoo tasted nasty, but the dolphin were great. I caught the 2 biggest of the trip but they were only about 35 pounds. Nice haul.

i don't agree with catching dolphins.

These are not regular bottleneck dolphins stupit they are a gamefish!

oh lol:) thats alrite then! fishings great, never done any game fishing but been out in boats catching mackerel...

That's exactly why restaurants have started calling it mahi-mahi instead of dolphin.

OMG, I thought there was something strange with this one - catching dolphins on a rod is akin to making rugs with Panda bears:evil:
Then I remembered in the carribean they eat this fish called dolphin that's really not - :oops:
