I'm partial to blue jays since we raised one from a baby last spring.
Number 2 is my favorite. I like the way the underside of his belly is illuminated. nice background and perch. I think it would benefit with a little USM.

The second shot is also my favorite. Nice pose showing the the profile as well as the colorful wing feathers. Well done!

second shot is my favorite as well. sharp, good colors and composition. their wing feathers are the most powerful part and you managed to get it right.

The images stand out so much making them as though the Bluejay is real on my monitor screen.
Fantastic.

Both shots are outstanding. If I had to choose I guess I would pick nr. 2 (such a beautiful pose) but it would be a close call. Excellent work. :-)

Best regards

Great shots Chris. Despite Blue jays being relatively common here I don't have a single shot that comes near these in detail, exposure and bokeh.
