A green that's a little blue

I've been looking for one of these guys for awhile, and I finally came across two of them here in Western PA yesterday. This is a smooth green snake, maybe 6" long or so. His eyes have that bluish haze to them because he's in a shed cycle right now. I'm on my way out the door to find some more this afternoon so hopefully I can get some non-blue shots of one.

I took 39 shots of this snake and kept about 12 of them. They didn't come out half bad in my opinion considering I was holding the snake with one hand and trying to do a handheld shot at 12x with the close-up filter in the other hand.

love snakes, especially those ones as far as snakes-in-this-state go. I dont think there are any around here though (Eastern PA). The last shot looks like he is going into shed, too bad he didnt already, snakes look awesome right after a shed
