umm.. this lacks everything you normally would have in a landscape shots. Lack interests or subject, it lacks a leading elements.

Normally you need to ask yourself what really makes this shot interesting, and improve it. If you can't find the interests, it usually means it only makes revelent meaning to you.... a personal snapshot.

For those of us that is viewing this photo, it makes no sense.

Dear sgWRX,

For one thing, its lacking alot of potential color. If the tones were brought up and saturation was added, this would be a great picture. Try making footprints in the sand to add extra flare to it. The title of the picture is always what the audiance will be looking for. This is why mbze430 said "For those of us that is viewing this photo, it makes no sense."

It's simply another beach shot. Do you mind if I post an edit?

way oversatureated. look at the horizon, its a nasty navy blue that doesn't exist. some of the greens and bad too. In the 2nd one its even worse, none of that look real. theres haloing around major contrast areas from too much shadow/highlight work

Its navy blue because the deeper the water gets the darker it gets. Its not too hard to understand that here. I think your second attempt looks much better SgWRX.
