Caught this wee guy feeding when on holiday in Fuerteventura. He was starting to let me get pretty close when a half a dozen loud mouth holiday makers came running over and scared him away:( Only managed 3 shots before he dissapeared under a rock, this was the best of the three. Any C+C welcome. Details are ISO 100, 200mm F4 1000thsec
Cheers Ricky

Chipmunk/Squirrel shots don't usually catch my eye but this one did. I love it when someone is really really enjoying their meal. You can just hear him saying "hmmm hmmm good".

I love it.

Very cute shot. I hate those loud mouth when someone is trying to take a wildlife photo.

I wonder if you could get more color out of it with post processing...

Nice detail and great pose!

Superdiver thanks for your comments. I have already worked on the shot in CS2, I adjusted the levels to maximise contrast and adjusted using curves to light up his belly a bit as it was a bit dark. I also saturated the reds and yellows to pull out the colours a bit, but was trying not to overdue it. The main problem was that the Chipmunk is sitting on black volcanic rock which has no colour:oops: Thanks for your comments mate:lol:

DV2004 This was taken with the 70-200f4L and was at the 200mm end. I agree with the BOKEH I am very pleased with the results I get with this lens:lol: When you see these guys up close there is not much room for error trying to get the face in focus so yes I was pleased his wee face was in focus. Thanks for your kind words.

Superscot thanks for taking the time to respond as I said above Colin I had already saturated the colours, any more may have spolit the shot it would have been nice if I could have got him in a nice green surrounding but that was never going to happen on the beach:lol:

Cheers Ricky
