#1 and #2 seem a little soft, were you shooting at f/2.8? Can be hit a miss sometimes if your not careful with such a small DoF

I agree it is a soft shot and I saw his/her website I don't feel that's a photography. Unlike the one that you've posted. I am an amateur photographer but I do know how to look on a picture that you can say "that's a real image photography"

I don't have anything against with that guy I just want to comment with his/her photo.

Btw, I have the attached sample photo that I shot using a stock t1i and a stock lens comes with it.

its motion blur of some type - camera shake or subject movement

this is not the right thread to post kit lens photos. please only post photos in these sample archives that are taken with the lens in the title.

I just played with a 24-70L and now I LOVE that lens. I am now trying to figure out if I should change my setup. I have 5D2, Tamron 28-70 f/2.8, 85 f/1.8, nifty fifty, and 70-200 f/2.8L. I am wondering if since I have the 70-200 2.8L, I probably could give up the 85 f/1.8. I find myself LOVING the 70-200 f/2.8 at the 200 end for portraits. I had the 85 originally for portraits on crop body. I would have to add some cash, which is a sacrifice. I used to love primes, but now that I have one really good body, I am wondering if I can make do with the kit of 24-70, 70-200 and nifty. I mostly shoot events, weddings, portraits, families.

MY main question is, Do you guys think the 70-200 f/2.8L is a good replacement for portraits over the 85 f/1.8 on a full frame?
