It seems for many (myself included) that the "UWA explosion" provided by Canon-Sigma-Tamron-Tokina has revitalized/re-energized much of our "compositional creativity" for crop body users. That said, each lens has its "fan-base". So which one do you have (or which one would you get)?

[NOTE: I have no doubt that the Canon 10-22 will be far and away the most-used/most-preferred, but let's see what the numbers say here in this poll. The interesting result will be between 2nd and 3rd place: the Sigma or Tokina. Also, this isn't about which lens has the best optics, handling, build, etc. They're all very good, and each lens has its pros and cons.]

Wanted Canon at first but went with Sigma 10-20 EX DC HSM after seeing the tests comparisons and none of other 3rd party lens is 10mm wide.
Overall im well satisfied with my decision, I saved some 200 $ and it came with a nice hood too.

Sigma 10-20 was not available at the time when I bought, but I shot the Tamron 11-18 and the Tokina 12-24 before deciding on the Canon. I buy lenses by how much they can take my breath away.. and the Canon had that special look-n-feel that said "buy me".

It's not the most rational of purchasing decisions but it worked for me and I have never been unhappy with the 10-22. :)

I doubt you're alone with this sentiment. ;)

I love my Sigma, and I don't feel that I lost out by not getting the Canon, comparing images from both.

I did the research, knew I didn't want too wide, knew I wanted the best build I could justify and great glass so Tokina it was for me ... and I wasn't disappointed. Decent IQ and great price. My Sigma 15-30mm is a tad better on IQ I feel and has a more practical all around range for me personally, at least now, but the Toki is a safe buy that I would buy one again. The Canon was overpriced to me at the time and added no value to me and HSM is a 'who cares' for wider angle stuff for me. Tamron doesn't really excel speed or range wise IMO.
