Went to the HSCC organised Superprix at Brands Hatch on Saturday and the combination of the GP circuit and some of the cars running, especially the GP Masters F1 beauties, brought my motorsport memories flooding back.

Although I had been going to motorsport events for several years  it was the mid 70's when I became hooked on F1....I only wish I still had the same passion for it now but that's another story:(

#1 an ex James Hunt Hesketh 308E

#2 another ex Hunt car, a McLaren M23 :D

not too sure about the helmet colour but still

#3 McLaren M26 which took Hunt to the WDC title in '76

#4 Another Hesketh, this time in the Penthouse livery

and finally a couple of other cars that caught my eye

#5 ex Nigel Mansell F3 car

#6 and a Lola T70 Spider:cool:

I've seen most if not all of these cars at several circuits in the past few years but the sight and sound of them rumbling through the woods of the GP loop is where they surely belong.

The rest of the meetings gallery can be found at the usual place

Thanks for looking :)

Fantastic stuff, particularly the 2 McLarens.

They're definitely "at home" at Brands :)

A superb set, mate. I particularly like the shot of the Paul Wyeth car (Unipart F3). The Hesketh at Stirlings is excellent too. I strongly recommend everyone has a trawl through your gallery. There's a lot more very good work in there.

John, these are superb. Particularly like #2 and #5. Glenn is absolutely right about your gallery. Excellent set of shots.

Cheers,

Simon.

Great shots John. BG's are clean and subjects are tacksharp. Nice gallery also.
