Trying to shoot this ...smaller wild cat (but by all means wild),i kept going closer and closer to the fence,(i had the Tamron 28-75 f2.8 on the camera) until she managed to put her paw through the wire and gave me a good scratch on my left hand.
At first i thought of any strange desease that you might catch from them but i suppose they take care of theese animals all the time and they keep a close look on them.
Anyway, after a bit of bleeding the pain went away, but left me with a scar to proove it.
Well, after all,if you want to shoot wild animals, you need to have some raw memories of them i suppose , even if they come in the form of a scar.

Here is a link for some info of this remarkable beast. (external link)

Oh, the things we do to get the shot! Looks like a nice little kitty, but I guess with the heart of a tiger! Nice shots, Dimitri!

The first shot is a really nice portrait, well done. I'm not so fussy about the one through the wire. Hope you heal OK. Thanks for sharing Dimitri.

Thank you guys, every single one of you.
Yes,the little kitten was a wild thing , and the cut is completely fine,it has almost left no scar at all and guess what...i didn`t turn into a catman,,,,,thank heaven for that.
Daredevil Trish? ;)  well,i would do lots of things to get a realy good shot, some times it doesn`t work and some times its worth it.
At least it was only a good scratch and not a deep scar in the face.

Beautiful animal, Dimitri, and you're the only person I know who's been wounded by one.

I'm sure that that is what the woman who entered the area around the polar bear enclosure was thinking a little while back now until........
None the less I would have done the same. Nice shots.

I like the first one, the ear is cut off in the upper left corner, but that's not a big deal, the second one is fine in my opinion, I don't mind the fencing

Who cares about the human? To me, it's all about whether or not the LENS got scratched. O_O

Nice Shots.
