(probably not as much as fashion! lol) Yep, the Noctilux is the only one faster or the Canon 50mm f/1. If you ever looked at the MTF chart for the Nikkor f/1.2 vs the Noctilux and the 50mm f/1, you'll see that it is TOTALLY worth to get the Nikkor f/1.2 Gear List

The only thing I don't like the nikkor 1.2 is the distortion level. Being at 1.2 at only 52mm in diameter causes a bit of distortion. how much do you have to stop down to get it to clean up? May 11, 2006 17:20 | #9 I have a test shot of an A&W can in the Talk about Photography forum that is completely wide open to show of how shallow the DOF is. But most portrait at normal working distance stop down from f/5.6 - f/8 is the norm. Gear List
