I've resisted posting more photos of the Jags from Croft so I thought I would post a few shots from a rally I covered last Sunday

A Honda engined Sierra that will rev to 9000rpm:eek: Canon 1DMKII 70-200 f2.8L Lens

A Proton Satria with tarmac suspension hitting the water far too hard, the black thing you can see in the middle of the bonnet is part of the number plate.

A pan:eek: of the winner

Another pan, an escort finding that braking while airbourne isn't very effective, he just managed to negotiate the left hand bend out of sight

What the hell another pan ;):D

and just to prove it wasn't all watersplashes a shot from a rather tight uphill hairpin

Great shot of the Mk II Escort Ian, and that Sierra looks interesting. Funny where these Honda engines keep turning up. I know of one in the front of a Class 6 Autograss Mini...

Cheers,

Simon.

Ian, they are superb, all very spectacular indeed :) Love the airborne Escort and a 205GTi is always most welcome in my books

Are there many rallies you cover down south? I know of the Tempest and Sunseeker, are there any others I should know of? I'm not sure I can wait till the end of the year!!

You're pushin' your luck with three pans :p ;) Actually I quite like the one of the winner so it can't be a pan, it must be something else. I'll think about it  I'm sure it will come to me eventually!

Nice work, Ian. I like the last shot of the puglet. The spinning front wheel and the more static rear looks really nice.

Far too many pans creeping in these days, even moderators have been known to post them. Nice shots Ian, looks a bit on the damp side and by the short focal lengths you must have been close to the watersplash.

Lovely shots Ian. Great sense of dynamics and the flying water is wonderful. My pick is #1, the Sierra is superbly isolated in the spray - not that I'm a fan of Sierras - I just like the shot!!!

Thanks for the comments, I do cover some rallies down south, I'm usually in Bournemouth for the Sunseeker and I know it's not exactly south (well it is for me) I do go to Wales a hell of a lot. If you have a look at http://www.ianhardy.net/calender.php (external link) there are some rallies listed that are down south.

Cheers
Ian

I was quite near but luckily didn't get wet, the stage that they use has some quite good opportunities for water splash shots as in the last 1/4 mile they go through 4 fords.

Cheers
