Anyone use this for albums, portfolios? I just ordered my first book. They are pretty reasonable however I was wondering how the quality compares to the others that you pros use?

Oh yeah and when you guys make books for couples do you put captions in or just pictures? Or do you ask them what they prefer?
Thanks :)

Joanna,

As far using these for clients (professional use), I would definitely stay away from these. They are perfect for pix of family vacations, parties, and so forth, but you want to limit its use to personal stuff. The pages are pretty flimsy (very paperlike feel) and the quality of printing is subpar. You may want to look into Leather Craftsman, Art Leather, Graphistudio, and Asuka Books for professional use and quality of binding and craftmanship.

As far as making the books, we are 100% pictures. Hope this helps.

Greg

Thanks for the advice. I just signed up for asukabooks, I should get a password in a couple of days. Do you know the general prices in US $ ? It won't let me see until I get the password.

Depending on the size, the largest (80 sides) approx 40 pgs runs around $250, which looks like the most expensive, and size on that would be 10x10. looks like the majority of their stuff runs anywhere from $50 for the smaller stuff to around $175 for the larger stuff. It mentions 50% off your first sample book order from the package they were giving out at the wppi show last month.
