I think I prefer Raw straight from the camera.

Here is a Cheetah.. 400 5.6L w/ canon 2x

Not the greatest example but I got the best position I could, sorry!

Love the 2x and the 1.4x I just picked up. Glad I went with the Canon. Just need to follow my gut.

I love the giraffe pics, esp the second one..too bad the leaf and twig were over the cheetah's face.

Hey are the giraffe's out at the zoo now? I love the lens I got from you, by the way.
Thanks again, Karen :)

I agree... For the Cheetah I just love the clarity with the 2x of the eye...

Karen, glad you are getting great use from that lens...

Wow two TN folks!

Yeah a bit shame with the cheetah shot. How is it to manual focus this lens with the 2x extender on it? Is it easy?

Actually it is easy, I just have to learn to do it better...This was also on a tripod... Handholding andd MF I am sure a different story... I also picked up the 1.4x.. still a fast focus... I can AF with the f8 because I now have a 1 series which made that a no brainer..

Love the results so far with the 2x and the 1.4x.. here is one from today with the 2x

Very nice! I love the headshots of the giraffe. They're such beautiful animals.
