Typical of British Weather!

Well just a couple of hours and I will off to shoot a wedding. Everything ready, cameras, batteries, lens, assistant were off to a good start, except the weather of course.
Typical of good old British weather. It's pouring down with rain, very dark. Hopefully though by time we get outside after the ceremony it will lighten up.

Had bads days like this, how have you got on? I'll have to let you know later how I got on.

good luck.. I feel for you.. in my area we have a little saying.. If you don't like the weather wait five minutes.. it can be very aggravating.. we have beautiful overcast when I want to shoot landscapes and bright blue skies when I want to do portraits.. I am learning to adapt to what i've been given but the downpours were treated to in the summer is one of the few things I haven't learned to work around.. I just bring it inside... the rain usually doesn't last long but it can be pretty vicious I do love the downpours that knock out the power and everybody goes on the front porch to watch the storms...

I had one shoot, it was a 50th anniversary with renewal of their vows.. a full ceremony and reception like a wedding... outside it was pouring rain.

I brought my studio lighting and set up a area in the reception site for pics. There was no way we could have gone outside.

I was able to get a nice shot through the window of the door when someone went with a umbrella to pick up the "bride" from the car...

There I added it... maybe nothign special on its own but it added a nice feel to the total of pics and was important for the photojournalistic style to show it rained and how she was being expected outside
