I love taking shots of unique doorways too. Have quite a collection from all over the place.

I have quite a few as well, I'm thinking of doing a montage of all the different ones.

Taken with my Powershot.

There's lots of great stuff around in cities - shame so many people just take it for granted.

Very nice art-deco architecture you spotted there, 75D.
I do a lot of doorways, too. I have a collection of Tuscany old-world doorways framed and matted on a gallery wall in my house, but it is a small fraction of the hundreds I have taken. I had to start categorizing them by locale and era, and other types because my "doors" folder was too big and hard to find stuff in.

Great capture John, they certainly decorate the doorways differently over there, I saw quite a few while in Scotland last year using the tiles like this one.

It must be an impressive display Steve , I have got quite a few and as you said it's getting hard to locate something you are looking for, will have to work out a system like yours.
Here's one from last year's trip to Scotland.

Not sure of the context of the saying. It could have something to do with the original use of the building.
