I took the pic and didn't even see these guys.......Any clue what they are?

Aphids... and they'll kill the roses. Just go to the garden store and buy a box of Ladybugs - they'll eat the Aphids right up!

Yes they are aphids, I leave them alone, birds like to eat them. You can also squirt them with a soappy solution if you want to be rid of them.
