Red Squirrel - Tamiasciurus hudsonicus

As anyone who gets to see these guys in action will tell you, they may be smaller than grey squirrels but they are much more aggressive and smarter. This one is hanging on to the beak of a garden sculpture.

WOW! fantastic shot, what an acrobat. We have a few reds around here but not many.

That is a fantastic shot Paul !!! I saw one in a tree on a visit to Michigan, most hyper squirrel I've ever seen.

Beautiful colors. One summer we began to see a few of these around here. But squirrels are territorial and this is fox squirrel country. So the reds disappeared rather suddenly and I think the much larger fox squirrels chased themn away. Too bad. They were fun to watch.

A much prefered animal than the grey one here in Scotland.
The grey one is driving the red out of its teritory (because of its size).
