Philippine Sunbirds

Here's sharing some sunbirds from our islands, all taken a few days ago with the 20D + 500 f4 IS + Canon 1.4, manual exposure, on tripod.

1. Handsome Sunbird (Aethopyga bella, male, a Philippine endemic, at 3-1/4" our smallest sunbird) - 700 mm, 1/200 sec, f/5.6, ISO 800

Fantastic series!!! The spider hunter looks like a hummingbird.

Yes, indeed. The sweet "buko" (coconut) pie is one of my favorite energy snacks when going up Mt. Makiling....
