Philippine Sunbirds

Here's sharing some sunbirds from our islands, all taken a few days ago with the 20D + 500 f4 IS + Canon 1.4, manual exposure, on tripod.

1. Handsome Sunbird (Aethopyga bella, male, a Philippine endemic, at 3-1/4" our smallest sunbird) - 700 mm, 1/200 sec, f/5.6, ISO 800

2. Naked-faced Spiderhunter (Arachnothera clarae, a Philippine endemic , at 6-3/4" our largest sunbird) - 700 mm, 1/80 sec, f/5.6, ISO 800

Very well done Romy, as usual. I can imagine you trekking the slopes of Mt. Makiling with your heavy gear. Lovely place, and the Buko Pie at Los Banos ain't bad either :)
