We are in mid to late spring now and have had good spring rains. Last year we had virtually no blooms due to drought and they all seemed to be ready to bloom this year. Thanks! Trent

Dimitri, they are really a bit of a challenge with the 100mm macro because the flowers are sooo big. You really have to fo all the way up to f11 or so to get all the flower in focus as you can see. It tends to leave a pretty dark background. I'm sure a lot of people could do these much better justice - they are a beautiful specimin somewhat unique to Texas. Thanks for posting! Trent
