Just thought that I'd post some wakeboarding pics as not too many appear here!

Any one else got any extreme sport photos, would love to see them

C&C Welcome

Alex,

If you want to know which focusing I use, when I'm shooting from the tube, I pre-set the focus and then switch to manual so that it doesn't change. For the aerial shot, I used Al Servo and got lucky! Depending on what camera you've got, you should be able to chane the point of focus. I usually shoot portrait and use one of the top focusing points. And as for lenses, the 3 tube shots were with a Sigma 24-60 f2.8 and the aerial shot with a Sigma 70-200 f2.8. All the shots were on a 1D Mk2

Buttkicker,

I take it your shots were done at Sheffield Cable?? Looking good

Anyway, here's a couple more... Enjoy!

Use the insert image icon (yellow icon) at the top when replying to a thread Bill - looks like you could do with getting a bit nearer to the action, or get a longer Lens

Bill,

Where were those shots taken- nice light, looks warm but the guy's in a dry suit! As for the camera, it's in a housing. I'd never go out with just the camera, been bounced out a few times by 'funny' boat drivers!!

Oh, and as for the aerial shot, it was from a helicopter! It was taken at Air '05 last year, a festival / competition near Northampton.

Butt and Phil
I was sitting on shore with my Sigma 120-300. Thats my neighbor we are in Michigan.
We didn't plan a shoot, he drove by I fired one burst. It was the only burst I took, I was cold and went back in. I just got the Sigma and I was impressed.

I showed him the photo's he loved them, I was luke warm. A little too far, his back was to me. I am geeked up about getting some awesome shots this summer. These guys are pretty good and this is my back yard. There will be no shortage of willing "models".

I am a skier so there should be some good skiing shots also.

Enjoy.

Awesome images.

I am to buy a wakeboat soon and thinking of a jet engine though most wakeboarders don't like it. What is your idea (Yamaha 21X, 23AR or Seadoo 230)?
(Wakeboarders please, sorry to ask it in photo forum as I couldn't help it).
