Looks like you did have a good time, which is no bad thing. Portraits are actually pretty hard, it's very hard to get under a persons skin and actually say something about them

I'd say five is the best, composed well and exposed well, though they all seem well exposed on my screen

6 would have been better, if she was on the the right, it's an old trick but we read from left to right so our eyes are naturally drawn to the right, and there's just an empty space there.

Not a bad first portrait post, keep at it

I don't know what good composition is.... Sometimes for me composition has to do with a certain brightness or a certain coming to restness and other times it has to do with funny mistakes. There's a kind of rightness and wrongness and sometimes I like rightness and sometimes I like wrongness. Diane Arbus

Lol, it's an excuse to get back out there, you're blessed with a partner that likes being shot, as does mine. Take full advantage of it my friend

What sean said was right *i jsut realised this heh* in the first photo, my eyes were directly drawn towards the subjects *slightly to the right of the photo* where as in photo 6, i first looked at the empty space, thenwent back to look at the sister on the left. They're all great photos, but i loved 6. great DOF. if only she was on the right, would have made it a tad bit better. definatly a good reason to get them back out for photos!

but yeh, the sister definatly does not look 15, more like 18 or 19 =)

Beautiful! I love # 2 and # 5. So crisp! They look great - technically and models-wise! Nice work.
