Just FYI ... I don't have any experience with either camera, but a friend at work was interesting in buying one. I got in touch with my contact at a local camera store and he mentioned that S2 owners who had bought S3s were exchanging them again. Said the S3s had noise issues.

I was just looking at a S2 lS yesterday at Staples and it was $399. I think it's a great camera with one exception. The screen is too small. While most new models are about 2inches, this camera has the smallest screen I've seen. If you take your shots using the screen, you will really struggle to see what's in the shot.

I'll note that I hardly think the S1, S2, or S3 IS qualify as "Small Compact Digitals", as the other forum is named. C'mon people. Let's answer the questions, not bicker about where they belong. When we, as moderators, see something that clearly belongs in a different forum, we'll move it and PM the poster if possible.
